Hunkin Regatta

As this regatta held at Fowey is only open to gigs built by Maurice or Louis Hunkin, we will be taking Faith. This will be her first outing since completion of her maintenance work which is being carried out from October 2024 and involves some repairs to damaged frames as well as being repainted and revarnished. Faith was built in 2008 and it’s a testament to how well she was built and looked after, that she is still in such excellent condition overall as this is the first time she has ever been repainted or revarnished other than a few minor touch-ups. There is a prize for the best kept “Hunkin” gig and with luck, after the work done this winter, she might well win!

Races will start and finish at Berrills Yard (Lifeboat station)
